GE Healthcare division has successfully completed the migration of their Centricity Carddas XI² application from Gupta to Microsoft .NET.
The system is used in 260 clinics by over 5,000 users in Europe and Asia. Using Ice Tea Group migration technology and fecher's professional services, GE migrated 600 forms with 35,000 controls, 800 classes, and 200 reports in record time.
AG Büro 70, a software firm in Bern - Switzerland, supports two solutions used in the public domain: a pension fund software (PEKA) and a hospital application (PABS). We will put you in contact with the Premium Porting Partner that handles porting projects in your area. The partner will follow up with you on how to exchange documents and code securely.
We will also send you a Mutual Non Disclosure Agreement to protect your (and our) technology and processes. We can use your version of the same document if necessary.
We will provide you with our automated inventory tool. The tool crawls your project tree and generates a XML file that we can use to provide you with a ballpark estimate for the project.
Optionally you can submit a small application, including some reports, if you want to see some of your code migrated to C# or VB.NET.
The end result is a ballpark estimate of the time, effort and potential problems related to the project.
Once you have approved the ballpark estimate, you may select to run a Proof of Concept (POC) using a small application in your system or a reduced subset of your main application.
The Proof of Concept usually costs very little (between USD/EUR 2K and USD/EUR 8K). If you are an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) we may have POC financing available from Microsoft.
With a POC you will be able to run, test and fully evaluate your own code running in Visual Studio .NET.
The last step in the sales process is the fixed price guaranteed proposal. After we have gathered enough information about your requirements and your project, we prepare a fixed price proposal.
Depending on the complexity of the system and the level of detailed analysis required by the project, there may be a small cost related to the preparation of the fixed price proposal.
